Our Story – From Sketches to Timeless Memories
The roots of Palkar’s Nikita Photo Studio go deeper than the click of a camera. It all began with the artistic vision of Late Jagannath Shivram Palkar, a talented sketch artist whose ability to capture expressions on paper planted the seed of creativity in the Palkar family.
Inspired by this heritage, his son Mr. Sarvesh Jagannath Palkar entered the world of photography over 35 years ago. Starting as a professional wedding photographer and photojournalist, Sarvesh captured thousands of moments that became part of Goan families’ cherished memories.
In 1996, his dedication and passion led to the founding of Palkar’s Nikita Photo Studio in Mardol, Ponda, Goa.

A New Chapter – The Next Generation
Growing up surrounded by cameras, lenses, and albums, Manguirish Sarvesh Palkar — Sarvesh’s son — was fascinated by the magic of freezing moments in time. From childhood, he watched his father document love stories and cultural traditions, learning the craft long before he ever picked up a camera himself.
His first steps into photography came through school-level competitions, where he quickly discovered his own creative voice, leading him to win multiple awards at district and state levels.

Balancing Academics & Passion
While building his photography career, Manguirish also pursued academics, completing his Postgraduate Degree (Masters) in Analytical Chemistry. Managing both studies and the family business was a challenge, but with the support of his teachers, family, and clients, he succeeded — proving that passion and persistence can coexist.
